Center For Civic Engagement
Democracy House is our award-winning Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service. Diverse groups of students unite and work together to address the unmet needs of the local community through endeavors such as mentoring elementary and high school students, helping to feed the hungry, organizing blood donation drives, hosting events to increase awareness of issues like sexual assault and gender violence, completing neighborhood improvement projects — and much more! Students receive an hourly stipend and a college scholarship for their commitment and desire to learn about, and serve their community.
