MCC Offers New Program in Development and Fundraising
The need for nonprofit organizations to raise funds is greater than ever, and a new program at the College will give students the skills to enter this field, and give those in the profession new strategies and techniques.

Graduation Day: Electronics Class Ready for Booming Field
An 11-week class at Middlesex County College called “Electronics for Green Jobs” held a graduation ceremony February 3. The program trains students to repair and maintain machines used in the green technology field such as recycling machines, fork lifts, emission controls, hybrid cars and solar panels. The funding is from the New Jersey Department of Labor. At the ceremony, students heard from employers who are eager to hire technicians for this booming industry.

“Pink Day” Basketball Games Combat Breast Cancer
“Pink Day,” a program in which the Middlesex County College and Ocean County College basketball teams supported Breast Cancer Awareness, was held at Middlesex on February 17. The men’s and women’s teams from both schools wore pink warmup t-shirts and wristbands and members of the Middlesex softball team held a bake sale and collected donations for the American Cancer Society.

Bright Smiles!
“Give Kids a Smile Day,” an annual event at the College, provides free dental care and dental education to area children. Local dentists, hygienists, and dental auxiliary students and alumnae volunteered their time and talents February 5.
