Democracy House Wins National Award for Community Service
Democracy House, the Center for Civic Engagement at MCC, was named to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. The award was presented by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).

Student Newspaper Wins Awards in Collegiate Contest
Five members of Quo Vadis, the College student newspaper, recently won awards at the New Jersey Collegiate Press Association. The contest honors student newspapers from two-and four-year colleges and universities in the state.

Ageless Learning Program to Train Baby Boomers for New Jobs
MCC was recently chosen to join the Plus 50 Encore Completion Program, a national effort to train 10,000 baby boomers for new jobs in healthcare, education and social services. The program is sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

Lynn Lederer, director of professional and community programs, presented a portion of her doctoral dissertation at the American Historical Association’s  annual conference in New Orleans.
