Why pay more for the same degree? Jessica Soto got her Bachelor's degree from NYU, but she saved $70,000 by FIRST getting her Associate's degree at Middlesex.
Jessica knew that going back to college was imperative to giving her family the best out of life, so she came to MCC as an adult student. After 2 years, she graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was given a scholarship to New York University. She graduated from NYU in May 2014 where she was able to intern for some of the best public relations firms in NYC and found her passion for event planning. Jessica just opened her own event and wedding planning business as well as started her own vintage rental business.
Fizza felt prepared for an Ivy league school thanks to her challenging classes and hands-on professors. Watch the video to learn how she transitioned easily to Columbia University.
With a student to faculty ratio of 22:1, it's easy to see why so many MCC graduates value the personal relationships they were able to build with their professors. All of our classes are taught by industry experts, not TA's, who bring real-world experience to the classroom. Fizza Sulaiman did poorly on her first two Chemistry tests and thought that maybe she wasn't "college material." It was her professor George Pangalos that encouraged her by saying "winners are not quitters." He pushed her to study more and now Fizza is studying Biology at Columbia University.
