New Brunswick Center

The Middlesex County College New Brunswick Center serves the greater New Brunswick community. We offer day, evening and Saturday classes. There are ten classrooms, including one open Computer Lab, two lecture Computer Labs, one Biology Lab and a Multipurpose Room used for special events.

Enrollment Services at the New Brunswick Center include:

  • Academic Advising (enrollment, transferring credits, choosing a major, add/drop class, academic progress)
  • Online Application/ Class Registration Assistance
  • College Placement Test (CPT)
  • English as Second Language evaluation test (ESL)
  • New Student Orientation (NSO)
  • Tuition Payment/Payment Plan Assistance (No cash accepted at this location)

2019 E.M.P.O.W.E.R. College Readiness Now Grant

Seeking 20 motivated high school seniors attending the New Brunswick public school system, wanting to get a jump start on college! This amazing opportunity will help students with limited resources become college ready now by improving their WRITING skills during spring of their senior year. This grant program is offered in partnership with The NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) and the NJ Council of County Colleges (NJCCC). It offers:

  • FREE English Comp (ENG 121) class AND ENG 121 with support (ENG 121S) for extra help if needed
  • FREE expert tutoring and support from academic coach, tutors/mentors
  • FREE course supplies
  • FREE College Readiness Mentoring Workshops

For consideration, HS Seniors must complete a HS Scholar application, submit an official HS transcript and score a minimum of 4 on the Writeplacer portion of the college placement test.

The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4pm, starting on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. DACA and DREAMERS are encouraged to apply!
