Scholarships Available in Middlesex College Allied Health Courses for New Brunswick Residents

| Category: News Releases

Johnson & Johnson and the Middlesex College Foundation are sponsoring scholarships for New Brunswick residents enrolled in the Continuing Education Allied Health Certificate Program.

Many opportunities exist in allied health. It is one of the few career fields with consistent growth, especially in central New Jersey.

The J & J Scholarship is available for New Brunswick residents who would like to enroll in a Continuing Education Certificate Program and train to become a Medical Assistant, a Phlebotomy Technician, or a Community Health Worker. Medical Assistants predominately work in doctors’ offices assisting with patient care, insurance and billing. Phlebotomists work in laboratories such as Lab Corp but are also employed in hospitals. Community health workers bridge the gap between the community and the health care, government and social services systems. They assist individuals and families to obtain access to resources including health insurance, food, housing, quality care, and heath information.

For more information and an application, contact Middlesex County Continuing Education at 732-906-2556 or cgreen@middlesexcc.edu as soon as possible.
