New Student Orientation

Welcome to the New Student Orientation Program at Middlesex County College!

New Student Orientation offers 3 programs for new students:

1. Group Advising

2. Online Orientation

3. New Student Day

step 1Sign up to Register for Fall 2017 Classes

Are you ready to register for classes?

1. Have you been accepted to Middlesex County College ?

                                        AND

2. Have you completed at least one of the following?:

  • Completed your College Placement Exam
  • Submitted exempting SAT/PARCC scores
  • Completed College Level English and Math
    •  You can view more information about the exams on the left side of this page.
    • If you have not been admitted or need to test/ submit test scores – Click Here for Your Next Step

If the answer is YES to both questions, please proceed to one of the 3 options for registration.

All incoming freshmen must come to the college in person to complete the registration

 process for Fall 2017. Please review the following 3 options:

Option 1:  Sign up for a Group Advising Session  

Your college placement scores or courses will be ready for you when you arrive.

  • You will meet with an Academic Advisor to build your schedule
  • This session will prepare you for your first semester at MCC!

If you live in the New Brunswick area and would like to take your classes at the New Brunswick Center, please sign up for a Group Advising Session Here

Option 2: Have an Advisor Build Your Schedule!

Schedule Builder on Demand is a mobile-friendly service that will allow an Academic Advisor to custom build your schedule for the Fall 2017 semester!

  • Your completed schedule will be available within 2 business days
  • If you choose this option you must come in person to review (or make any changes) to your schedule with an Advisor. Please allow for two business days before coming in to review your schedule
  • This session will prepare you for your first semester at MCC!

Option 3: Walk –In  AVAILABLE STARTING AUGUST 1, 2017 (West Hall Parkview Room)

Please Note: Walk- In Hours:  Mon, Tues,  & Thur. 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM / Wed 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Walk-In is only available for students that are ready to register. You must meet all of the criteria to be eligible to register for Fall 2017 classes. Please Note: It is recommended to sign up for a Group Advising Session to avoid delays in your time to meet with an Academic Advisor.

  • This option is ideal for students who have not been able to sign up for a session and need to come in with short notice.
  • If you attend this session and are not eligible to register we can assist you with reviewing your admissions checklist to get you on track for registration. *Registration may require a 2nd visit to the college.

step2 View the Online Orientation. The Online Orientation will: (The orientation will be available by August 15, 2017)

  • Provide an introduction and welcome to first year and transfer students
  • Provide information about the Student Services and resources offered at MCC

step-3 Sign up for New Student Day

    • Learn about Academic Resources
    • Meet Current MCC Students
    • Parent/Family Workshop
    • Receive a Tour of the Campus and/or Bookstore
