The Student Life Office, Student Government Association and the many student organizations and clubs and Student Affairs departments of Middlesex County College sponsor events and activities to help increase chances for student success. Events are held on the Edison campus and at the New Brunswick and Perth Amboy Centers.

Veronica Guevara-Lovgren: LatinoX: How Resistance and Resilience Leads to Hope, Love and Expansion of Community / Thursday, Oct. 18 / 2:00 p.m. / College Center, Corral
Through personal narrative and scholarship, this presentation will explore what it means to identify as Latinx during challenging times. The impact of this term and its ability to include and connect a greater range of individuals and identities to generate a more inclusive, hopeful, and loving community will be discussed. The presenter’s path of resistance and resilience while navigating dominant structural and systemic ideologies will be simultaneously investigated in relation to Latinx identity.
