Welcome to the Visual, Performing and Media Arts Department
The Visual, Performing, and Media Arts department has a large and diverse array of degree programs. Our fine arts degrees offer the first two years of concentrated study in studio courses for students planning to transfer to a Bachelor’s program in visual arts, theatre, or music. Our liberal arts degrees provide a strong foundation in a creative field in addition to a well-rounded liberal arts education.
Students have access to working at a professional radio station, Blue Colt Radio, performing in theatre productions held in our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, or exhibiting visual art at our Studio Theatre Gallery.
We offer the following programs:
Fine Arts
Liberal Arts
Theatre Courses and Performances
We offer a rewarding and challenging program in the theatre. Our students are guided through academic program which integrates performance, production, and criticism. The performance opportunities and production assignments provide the student with a training ground where they can experience what has been taught in the classroom.
Our Theatre Department produces four shows annually, two larger productions in our 400 seat proscenium Main Stage Theatre, and two smaller shows in our intimate New Studio Theatre. Both facilities are equipped with state of the art equipment. Students are trained in the operation and artistic capabilities of each aspect of production equipment.
